A Magical Awakening
They woke from their winter sleep,
Little fairies who were roused by the bluebird’s cheeps,
They washed their sparkling wings in the fresh, springtime dew,
Then drew a huge breath to admire the view,
Around them as far as the eye could see,
Bluebells stood proudly, so they could feed the bees.
The fairies drunk on their long, long rest,
Started singing sweetly, at the flowers request,
Their voices harmonized, without a flaw,
The animals of the forest froze like statues, completely in awe!
Springtime had arrived at the fairies’ delight,
So, when the dew had dried off their wings that slowly
unfurled,
They would take off to magical places, all around the world,
To make tiny wishes true for every little boy and girl.
