Raining Cats and Dogs

Raining Cats And Dogs

The limitless, rhythmic, rain
Constant,
Upon the window
Splish, splashing, mesmerizing
Me into daydreams
In it's hypnotic incessant,
 Obese clouds idly wandering around
Holding July hostage,
Calling a halt to the glitter of sun
Upon my dreams.

A white cat staring out the window on a rainy day.

My Mountain

My Mountain

He's always been like a mountain to me,
Always there tall and strong,
Forgiving me no matter what went wrong
In his shadow was my haven,
Even when naughty and misbehavin,
In his arms he kept me
Safe and sheltered from worldly harm.

He's always been a mountain to me
Allowed me to be me, be free,
He's heard the moans of my strife
All through his life ,
I'm still in awe
Though he knows me no more,
Loving him is a joy not a chore
The man mountain that is constant in my mind
Remains with me still,
Though now its harder to climb
He'll always be my mountain,

A Mothers Love

A Mothers Love

I could never ever lose my way,
On a damp, dark and dreary day,
For my mothers always there with me
In spirit, not solid or physically,
She guides and mentors from above,
Still caring and giving out her love,
I see her in my minds eye,
Hear her voice in my head, sweet as a lullaby,
She rises high above the throng,
Showing me the way so I don't go wrong,
A mothers love never dies,
It stays with you forever, grows and thrives,
In your memory emblazoned for infinity,
Your mother to you always your divinity!

A Time To Love

A Time to Love

Time it once had a meaning,
The years had seasons,
Day and night reigned and waned,
Love was pure and unstained,
Before the grains of truth and trust,
Began to seep out, Began to rush,
Seeping and lies creeping,
Insidiously drowning love.
  Our times have had  meaning
Our love had its season
The grains of our love
Ceased flowing became corrupt
It stopped!
Times up!
Loves finished!
Abrupt!

Natures Dance

Natures Dance
Sky Reading by A Chance of Sunshine

MY oh My don't get upset, don't cry,
Put your bad thoughts in the breeze,
Let them go, let them fly,
Dance daintily with the leaves,
For when your feeling blue,
Nature will always be there for you

My oh My don't spill your tears, don't cry,
Put all your hurt in the wind,
Sing out loud, don't sigh,
Let the hurt go, let it fly,
For when he's been unkind
Nature is there for you!

My oh my, share your true love,
Put your heart in his soul,
Dance and soar like a dove,
Let your feelings go, let two become whole,
For when you've found the one,
Natures tricks have been done !

Thank you to :A Chance of Sunshine  for the lovely picture prompt

A Fairy Is Born

Blow the bubbles,
And look carefully
Can you see
The delicate wing of a little fairy ?

For every time a bubble is created
The mummy fairies giggle,all excited
Cos they have waited and waited,
For the magical soapy bubbles to be sighted !

Look at the bubbles can't you see
ImageThe birthing of a tiny fairy
The rainbow colours dancing in the light
Are the tiny wings of a little sprite!

So blowing bubbles isn't just for fun
It's the start of a fairies life
 That's only just begun
So blow your bubbles and you will see
The tiny delicate wings,
Image

Of a brand new fairy!

The Lament

The Lament
A very short story
Art at google.com

Each night she stood reminiscing that final farewell,in her memory the mighty ship stole away her beau. Beneath her, course grains scratched at the soles of her feet yet in her mind tortured thoughts of all those 'what ifs' rattled constantly in her head, As the ship had sailed away she swore she saw angels perched upon the mast, this reassured her their love would forever last, and it had, it was an everlasting love that would last longer than she .She caressed the soft mound forming under the dress she had made for the day of their church union, but he had left his seed within her and though they were parted they would meet again in heaven till then she would nurture and love there child away from the sea, away from the lure of her lovers last mistress and with this thought she threw her bouquet to her watery rival and never again looked back .

Of the jungle beat.

Together (Childrens Lit )

Together

An Elephant looked out upon a darkened sky
He closed his eyes and muttered my, oh my !
Shaking and quaking in his boots,
His trunk couldn't help making  involuntary toots.

A friendly little likeable pooch
Was out taking a leisurely lonely mooch,
When suddenly he jumped high,oh so high!
As he heard the elephants deafening tooting cry.

The little pooch headed towards the hullabaloo,
 He met the humongous Elephant,
And thought what to do, what to do?
He wasn't frightened or wasn't scared.

He guided the elephant and showed he cared,
Strengths are different within us, big and small
But working together makes even the smallest of us tall.

WHY ?

 WHY ?

Mummy why can't I plant my tree
Where my Prince Charming
Will Marry me
WHY ?

Mummy why can't I Plant my tree
Where all the magic fairies dance
To the buzzing of the  honey bees

WHY?

Mummy why can't I plant my tree
In a land of green
Where everyone is free
WHY ?

Mummy why can't I plant my tree
Where purple dragons roam and snore
They'd be so gentle no-one would flee
WHY ?

Mummy I want to plant my tree
With Daddys spade
In my red welly boots
