Raining Cats and Dogs

Raining Cats And Dogs

The limitless, rhythmic, rain
Constant,
Upon the window
Splish, splashing, mesmerizing
Me into daydreams
In it's hypnotic incessant,
 Obese clouds idly wandering around
Holding July hostage,
Calling a halt to the glitter of sun
Upon my dreams.

A white cat staring out the window on a rainy day.

Another Rainy Day

Another Rainy Day

Another dismal, sleepy, stirring
To melancholy drops cascading,
Through the depressing morning curtain call,
The beating of my heart matching the rhythmic beat
Of those relentless drops,
Hope in my heart diminished,
By negative ions bombarding the atmosphere,
Rain be banished !
Allow the rays through,
A glimpse, a hope to survive,
Let my heart feel light.
Lift my spirits,
Energise, let me feel a rebirth,
The seasons are out of kilter
My being feels splintered
Out of sorts!
Let The sun shine !!!!!

Balance of Life

Balance Of Life

As I write this I can't help but think of the children and adults starving in Kenya and Somalia and ask if after reading my poem you will check out this link  Save the children thank you. Now in 2016 some parts of the UK have been devastated by floods, too much rain ...a link for them is here Help for Victims of flooding

Water is the fluid of life,
Too much ,
Too little,
Just enough we'll be alright!
Not enough, diseases breed, rife!

Water feeds our nations,
Too much,
Too little,
Just enough, nourishes us!
Not enough, promotes starvation!

Water feeds our soul,
Too much,
Too little,
Just enough, we play like fishes in a shoal,
Not enough, we perish in dust-bowls!

Water feeds our bodies,
Too much,
Too little,
Just enough, our bodies can perform
Not enough, we become malnourished zombies!

Water balances the earth,
Too much,
Too little,
Just enough, our environs flourish!
Not enough, we are thrown into a dearth!

Too much ?
Too little?
Or
just a drop?
Is that enough ?
