Bad Barbie

Bad Barbie
Oh Barbie's gone bad!
Is that sad?
Or a reflection of society?
Is it right that we're brain washed by sight,
That women should be a pink perfection,
Groomed merely for men s delectation,
Barbie's so bad!

Oh Barbies gone mad!
Is that sad?
Or is it just a reflection of true life,
A job, a mother, a lover, a wife,
A world of stresses,
Not just pretty dresses,
Barbie's so mad!

Barbies had her day!
There's more to play,
Than pushing stereotypical roles,
Society changes, so do goals,
Women are the spine of humanity,
Peace,love and human equality,
Are the roles that should promoted
Barbie's had her day
Pink and Fluffy s been demoted!
Barbies So bad !

Walking With Big Brother

Walking With Big Brother
Ben Goossens
Echoes of footfall
Heard by unseeing beings,
Replayed some place faraway
 Day after day,
Strolls of the lonely,
 Never alone
Every solitary step taken,
Replayed and replayed,
Location checked by a phone,
Craving space alone
 Away from the human race,
No escape from eyes that prey,
This is the state of this state
 In this modern day,
Freedom of self no longer free,
Not when you want to be alone.
 Just be you, be free!

Suffrage

Suffrage

Certain  acts of impropriety,
Were never accepted in polite society,
Silliness did surely reign,
Women brainwashed to abstain
From
Sex, drugs and rock and roll,
Till the one appeared with a big fat, bank roll.

Married and imprisoned in bricks up on the hill,
Disallowed from mixing with folk from the mill,
Boredom and curiosity surely did reign,
From
Scrubbing floors, doing chores,
Till crushing their socially ideal Amores

Then in time, a belly full of living life,
Presents more duties for the obedient wife,
Motherhood and expectations did surely reign,
Of
Nappies, sleepless nights and restrain,
Then that cycle would be repeated again.

Free speech, Free love became the norm,
The time was ripe for women to transform,
Choices and freedom did surely reign,
So
Societies silly impropriety became arcane.
Letting women use their judgement
And their brain !

A Social Emergency

 A Social Emergency

Love and peace within out city,
Seems to be a real scarcity,
Its become a social emergency
Balance needs to be restored,
Its a matter of the up most urgency
Societies systems are constantly abused
Kids left to fend alone, no longer amused
Love thy neighbour, now just a phrase from the past!
Innocence of childhood cut too short, not long to last,
Greed and avarice run amok, run rife!
In this our civilized 21st century life.

We need to inject some love intervention
If peace and harmony is society intention!

Just Another Day

Just Another Day
Jinksy

Mauve, muted ,mountains in early morning heat,
Constructed by men and robots with steel and concrete,
Some eerie echoing within,
Containing the tools for the working day to begin,
Others a hive of activity,
 A cacophony of society.

Mauve, muted ,mountains slowly turn to grey,
As the heat intensifies on another summers day,
Buzzing workers replace the eerie echo
Babies and families make their own social ghetto,
Creating this hive of society,
 A cacophony of activity!

Train of Thought

Train Of Thought
Overcrowded Train

Chit,.. chat,.. chit... chat.
Wheels of life moving,
Staying on track
Chit ,chat, chit ,chat.

Chug chug chugging,
Tracks of society,
Over rule natures priority
Chug chug chugging

Ra di Boom Ra di Boom
Humanity coming of  the rails,
Morality sinking, filling up jails
Ra di Boom Ra di Boom

Ding ding ding a dong
Journey almost ended
Natures poorly tended
Ding ding ding a dong

Screech screech halt,
Devastation is our fault
Reverse the trend,
Or its journeys end
Screech .......screech...... HALT !

Space Cleaner

Space Cleaner
Belgium Street Art

Is it gonna take a space warrior ?
To clean up our bricked corridors
To rid society of all its spills,
Of  media garbage, and governments bitter pills,
Of societies that consume and consumes.
Turning our world into a ineffective sickroom .

Is it going to take Darth Vadar ,
To take the bugs from our mental radars,
Should we be left without any immunity ?
Cleanse society, but destroy humanity,
We'll have to take control of the filter,
The world then will remain on kilter.

Dreams For Sale

Dreams for Sale

If dreams were sold,
What stories would be told ?
A bedraggled street urchin
Dining at the Ritz for Luncheon?

If dreams were sold,
What transgressions could unfold ?
A remedy to untruths and lies,
Even truth in politics made to apply !

If dreams could be sold
What could we do with unlimited gold ?
Destroy our moral being,
See all of humanity fleeing !

If dreams could be sold,
What would happen to all the old ?
Driven to maintain our looks and youth,
Or would indifference become our truth ?

If I could buy a dream,
It would be to mend humanities seams,
Let all suffering and fighting cease,
Bring about moral and spiritual peace.

Dreams should be our reality
When it comes to societies humanity.
Freedom and peace should be a given!
Until this end we as a race should all be driven!

Freedom, Peace and good health,
Should not depend on monetary wealth
The whole mixture of mankind
Should ensure this elixir is assigned
To The World !

Respect Outlawed

This was written in light of the riots taking place over the UK in August 2011.

Respect Outlawed

Banksy
Rioting rebels, raging, randomly,

Enraging
Servants of government and saviours of the free,

Plying societies wrongs for their looting mentality
Entombing us, housebound,

Citing our kids as our enemies,

Taunting a GOVERNMENTS Leniency !

Human Atomics

Human Atomics

We're in a room, hitting the walls
The worlds not round its like a hall,
People can't breathe, they're walking the walls
Their ideas keep crashing and having fights.
If only one of them could see the light

The hall's so long and people can't see,
Their ideas so small they need to be freed !
Lets knock down the wall,
So people can see, let their ideas breathe,
Then hopefully they'll see the worlds much bigger

And its not just me !

Bus Stop Watching

Standing, waiting, watching,
Business suit,
Old hag,
Dirty mac smoking a fag.

Standing, waiting, watching,
Metal cans whizzing past,
Anonymous faces,
Rushing to places.

Standing, waiting, watching,
Kids screaming till red in the face,
Mums shouting,
Some days outing.

Standing, waiting, watching,
Monster coming,
Almost to its fill,
Collecting me as usual for the treadmill.
Standing, waiting, watching.
