The Juggling Act

It can be such a struggle 

Juggling our relationships, 

Within our social bubbles, 

Our friends to us one offs, unique, 

Some social butterflies, others truly geeks. 

Each one interlocking creating 

Pieces in the jigsaw of our stories, 

Sharing in our tears and our glories, 

Yet mix them up, combine,

Give them some time, 

Leave them to mingle in a room, 

Some will find common ground, 

Others personalties will clash, go boom,

But within each, they allow us to feed 

On our need for what they have to give, 

It works both ways its also what they receive.

Friends shouldn't be exclusive, 

Yet true harmony amongst any pack, 

Is rare, precious and usually elusive !

New year,New Beginnings

New Year, New Beginning.

New Year, New beginnings,

 Promises made, yet already thinning,

New Friendships ready to be created, 

Old ones needing nurtured, tended, updated!

 

Brand new goals to reach, set for pursuing,

Yet past disappointments linger, still doing their wooing,

It's a new year and new beginnings are the offering, 

 Tho thoughts in your head persist, constantly wafting!

So you should take note of your dreams, explore the new,

Learn from the lessons of the past,

For

When you least expect

It,

They will come

And

Torment you !!

We've been on each others team 

God how long has it been?

Years and decades 

Through bad times 

And wicked escapades

Literally through youth 

The births, our baby's first tooth,

I've seen the men you've dated 

The ones that you always overrated. 

 I'd love for you to find your match, 

But none of them ever seem up to scratch,

You know I'm always here, 

If you ever ever need an ear! 

We may not always agree 

But friendship is a potpourri 

Feelings are shared, intense

Lives become entwined, condensed 

Forever gelling cementing

A Drink For Friends

A Drink For Friends 

My friends are iconic,
Like bubbles in champagne,
They come infuse my life,
Prevent me from becoming insane!                                    

My friends are mental,
Like extra fizzy lemonade,
They come entertain my spirit,
Our joint memories replayed!

My friends are strong,
Like coco in my chocolate,
They come singing the same song.
No agendas to translate!

My friends are my diamonds,
In my multi coloured sky,
I drink up their friendship,
Never to say goodbye !

So to my friends I toast,
Our friendship will last for eternity !
I proudly  boast this,
